Cafe Re-brand
The Treehouse Cafe is in the heart of Edinburgh, found at the end of the Meadows in Tollcross.  They specialise in fluffy pancakes, seriously good coffee and locally sourced tea.
The new owner of the Treehouse Cafe found a neglected premises, despite its long standing existence and notorious hangover-cure breakfasts. I had the pleasure of refreshing its visual identity, being asked to attract a modern audience, establishing a connection with the locals and stepping up to the competition in the area.
Brand Elements
Concept
We observed people’s automatic choice of food changed as they discovered the various treats on the menu that their more adventurous friends would choose. This inspired the concept to capture people's imagination, rediscovering their ‘inner youth’ exploring a time in your life full of adventure, carefree fun and new experiences. The visual brand elements were designed to embody this concept and provide a playful theme to be used on social media.
The tone we wanted to create was a freshness and youthful optimism that was inviting. Therefore this cool turquoise was chosen as the hero colour which provided a stark backdrop contrast to the dishes provided, which were full of warm colours.
